The core of this blade is Apex Ultra, a low alloy, high purity, performance steel developed for high-end knives with a near perfect balance of easy sharpen-ability and high toughness. The outer layers have been manipulated to form a pattern that reveals the layers of O1 tool steel and pure nickel in a style that is almost reptilian in looks. The blade is complimented by a handle made from dyed silky oak and secured with an antiqued bronze bolster cap.
